Rolled Edge Flat Bar - Product Standard - Metric
This standard applies to Stainless Steel Rolled Edge Flat Bar produced by Equinox.
2. Length, Width, Thickness, Straightness, Flatness and Twist Tolerance. |
2.1 Length
R.E.F.B. produced in accordance with this standard shall have a permissible variation in length of + 50mm - 0mm.
2.2 Width
R.E.F.B. produced in accordance with this standard shall have a permissible variation in width of: + 0.5mm - 0.5mm
2.3 Thickness
R.E.F.B. produced in accordance with this standard shall have a permissible variation in thickness of:

3.1
R.E.F.B produced in accordance with this standard shall have the following markings on each bar => 20mm in width.
3.2
Bar Markings SPEC. HEAT. SIZE TuV and Equinox logo. Except where previously agreed with the customer.
4.1
When ordered by weight/mtrs it is permissible for the delivered weight to vary by
+10% -10%
4.2
When ordered by number of lengths it is permissible for that number to vary by
+15% - 0% or as agreed at the time of sale.
4.3
Packaging. R.E.F.B. Produced in accordance with this standard shall be packed in
Bundles of nominal weight 500 KGs. (Except where the customer ordered quantity or heat dictates otherwise.)
4.4
Each bundle shall be securely banded to a wooden batten and be suitable for
handling using a side-loading fork lift truck.
4.5
Each bundle shall have labels at each end showing SPEC., CAST, SIZE &
BUNDLE NUMBER.
5. Checking Accuracy to Tolerance |
5.1
The thickness and width shall be measured at a distance not less than 150mm from the end of each bar.
5.2
When checking straightness, flatness and twist, the deviation shall be measured over the full length of the bar.
